"A Zeri vi sono tante occasioni per pregare secondo la
spiritualità del Rinnovamento Carismatico, lasciando
allo stesso tempo, tutta la libertà a chi vuole pregare
in altre maniere. Ogni martedì alle ore 21.00 si tiene
la celebrazione dell’Eucarestia, con la lode e la preghiera
di intercessione. Durante l’anno vi sono delle date
importanti che richiamano a Zeri una grande folla di persone
da vari luoghi d’Italia per pregare: la Pentecoste;
il 15 agosto e l’8 dicembre”.
Padre Beppino Co’
è il prete dalle mille
idee, non ha paura di andare controcorrente portando avanti
con un entusiasmo e una grinta davvero invidiabili la sua
missione: “mi sento missionario anche
a Zeri, una mentalità diversa da quella africana, devo
adattarmi, c’è molto da lavorare. Ho cercato
anche di valorizzare le tradizioni locali che sono fatte di
feste patronali, processioni….Ci tengo, al di là
di tutto, a mettere al centro l’Eucarestia che è
il cuore della Chiesa, curando la parola di Dio, la celebrazione
e certi segni particolari.”
Per andare incontro ai malati e agli anziani, Don Beppino
ha avuto l’originale idea di distribuire walkie-talkie
permettendo anche a loro di partecipare alla messa.
Oggi Don Beppino ha la sua radio parrocchiale che
raggiunge gran parte delle valli e così continua a
“seminare” la parola di Dio con alcune ore di
trasmissione quotidiane.
C’è chi parla di miracoli durante alcune delle
sue celebrazioni carismatiche ma Don Beppino afferma con chiarezza:
“I miracoli più straordinari sono le conversioni
che durano nel tempo”.
Per incontrare Padre Co’, sempre pronto ad accogliere
chiunque voglia incontrarlo essendo la canonica sempre aperta,
basta recarsi a Patigno oppure partecipare agli appuntamenti
spirituali che hanno contribuito alla notorietà di
Zeri.

Da non perdere, domenica 3 luglio la
“Terza Marcia nazionale contro la bestemmia”,
un’idea per riparare alle bestemmie un po’ troppo
diffuse soprattutto in Toscana.
Una marcia alla quale hanno partecipato, nelle edizioni scorse,
centinaia di persone. La marcia parte dalla piazza di Patigno,
alle ore 9.00 e termina alla Passo dei Due Santi alle 12.00
con una messa alla quale segue un bel momento di convivialità,
un pic-nic sui verdi prati di Zeri.

In Zeri there is no shortage of opportunities for praying
according to the spirituality of Charismatic Renewal, while
leaving ample freedom for those who prefer other forms of
prayer. There is the celebration of the Eucharist every Tuesday
at 21.00 with prayers of praise and intercession. During the
year Zeri has some important appointments which attract large
crowds from all over Italy who come here to pray: such as
on 15th August and 8th December.
Father Beppino Co’ is a priest with a thousand ideas
and who is not afraid of going against the stream to carry
on his mission with true fervour and commitment: “I
feel like a missionary, even here in Zeri, a different kind
of mentality from the African one, I have to adapt, there
is a lot of work to be done. I have also tried to boost local
traditions such as the celebrations for patron saints and
processions……..And what I really want to do is
put the Eucharist, which is the heart of the Church, in the
centre, caring for the word of God, the celebration and certain
particular signs.” To come closer to the sick and elderly
Don Beppino got the original idea of distributing walkie-talkies
which allow them to participate in the mass.
Today Don Beppino has his parochial radio which reaches most
of the valleys and in this way he continues to “sow”
the word of God with his daily radio programmes.
There are those who speak of miracles during some of Don
Beppino’s charismatic celebrations but he replies: “The
most extraordinary miracles are the conversions which last
in time.”
To meet Father Co’, who is always happy to welcome
anyone who would like to meet him at the parish hall which
is always open, all one has to do it come to Patigno or take
part in one of the spiritual appointmentswhich have contributed
to the notoriety of Zeri.

Not to be missed on Sunday 3rd July the “Third national
march against blasphemy” a way to make amends for wide-spread
swearing, especially in Tuscany. During the most recent editions
hundreds of people took part in this march which starts in
the square in Patigno at 9.00 a.m. and ends at the Passo Due
Santi Pass at 12.00 with a mass followed by a convivial picnic
on the green pastures of Zeri.
